Diane M. Formica, 66, of Downingtown, passed away on Thursday, August 14, 2025 at Arden Courts. She was the loving wife of Christopher A. Formica, Sr. They would have shared 27 years of marriage this September.

Born in Coatesville, PA on January 14, 1959, she was the daughter of the late Donald and Sophie Mathias Scott. Diane graduated from Twin Valley High School with the Class of 1976. She was a life member of Minquas Fire Co. in Downingtown, volunteering as a Fire Fighter and EMT. She worked for 35 years at the Downingtown Police Department in parking enforcement. One of Diane's favorite things in the world was to spend time in the mountains camping, hiking and biking in Wellsboro, PA. She loved spending time with her family, and her grandchildren were the light of her life.

Surviving in addition to her husband Chris are her children Crystal Hassler, wife of Thomas, of Pennsville, NJ, Nicole Yates, wife of Brian, of Harleysville, PA, and Christopher Formica, Jr. of Columbia, PA; grandchildren Diamond, Jade, Ruby and Stone Hassler and Deacon and Carter Yates; brother David Scott, husband of Carol, and Donna Townsend, wife of Barry. She was preceded in death by a grandson Scott Hassler.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 23, 2025 at 11 AM at James J. Terry Funeral Home, 736 E Lancaster Avenue, Downingtown, PA 19335. Visitation will be from 9:45 – 10:45 AM prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Diane's memory to the American Cancer Society or to Minquas Fire Company.
