CHRISTOPHER MONACO Obituary

CHRISTOPHER MONACO Christopher James Monaco, 30, of Las Vegas, passed away Saturday, Sept. 19, 2015. He was born Aug. 16, 1985, in Las Vegas. He was a loving son, brother, boyfriend and friend. Chris' high energy and unique sense of humor was contagious and always kept those around him laughing. He recently traveled to Costa Rica with the love of his life, Jessica Chacon, a destination he had longed to visit. Chris was an enthusiastic sports fan who loved the Minnesota Vikings as well as the Seattle Mariners. Christopher graduated with honors from Green Valley High School, and continued his education at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, where he received his bachelor's degree in marketing. Chris was dedicated to his work and looked forward to his growth within the company. As a slot marketing analyst at Aria Resort and Casino, he gained a second family that respected, supported and challenged him with new opportunities. Christopher will be deeply missed and will remain in our hearts forever. Chris is survived by his beloved parents, Jim and Pam Monaco; brother, Jeff Monaco; his love, Jessica Chacon; uncle, Ray Seidler and wife Julia; aunts, Joyce Monaco and Joanie Monaco and Sal Trimboli; cousins, Greg Seidler and Renee Seidler, Rachael Ferris and Brandon Washington; and by his extended family; Jeff's fiancée, Ariana Khazeni and her family, Geoff, Donna and Freddy. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 26, at Cornerstone Christian Fellowship, 5825 W. Eldora Ave., Las Vegas, NV 89146.

I remember Chris from Pre-School times with my daughter Keeper. They attended Doris French elementary together. He often came up to me to chat. No other kid did that. He was kind and such a gentle boy. I called him my favorite little buddy. My heart breaks for his parents, loving and wonderful people.i will keep my favorite little buddy in my heart now. I am so sad. Bye, my young friend. Love.

I was Chris' fourth grade teacher. He started coming to my classroom every morning when he and his mother got to school. This started when he was in first grade. He would stay in my room until the beginning of school bell rang. This happened daily during the school week. He came from first grade through fourth grade. In fourth grade, he was in my homeroom class. He would talk and talk each morning before school started. I had to start coming to work earlier than I normally did just so I could prepare for my school day. A few imes I told him that I couldn't visit because I had work to do. He would sit at a desk for what must have seemed like a very long time to him when it was only a couple of minutes and then say, " Miss Betty, can you talk now?"

The cute smile you see in the picture that accompanies this obituary is the smile I saw daily during this time.

Chris was a very happy little boy. I last saw Chris at the high graduation party given for him at his house.

I am happy that Chris was in my life for those 4 years.

I never knew it before, Chris was born on Aug 16. That month and day are same as my wedding anniversary. However, the year is not the same. Good things happen on Aug. 16!!!

Chris had the best mother. Pam was young enough to do fun and do active things with Chris.

What A cute kid!!!

Miss Betty

Chris. It was an honor to work with and eventually get to know you as a person. I've never come across such a respectful young man as you. You were hard working, dedicated and passionate about your job. You always had a smile on your face, even when things didn't necessarily go our way. I will miss seeing and talking to you. Thank you for renewing my faith in today's generation. You definitely left a mark that many young men should aspire to. Taken from us way too soon.

Rest in Peace

Dear Chris,
I wish you were still here with us. I am so sad that you are gone. You had so much to live for and to continue to grow and so many things still do.
You were always so kind and helpful. Though I work during the day shift, you took time to email me a great job email when I had a good comment. You always said "thank you". You made me smile always. You will be missed terribly. We will always remember you, dear Chris.
Please rest in peace.
