Clyde Earl Rakestraw, 81, of Pasadena, Texas, formerly of Pekin, Illinois and Manito, Illinois was peacefully called home to our Lord on Tuesday, August 25, 2015 after battling Alzheimer's Disease. Clyde was born in Spring Lake, Illinois on April 7, 1934 and passed away in Webster, Texas.
Clyde is survived by his wife of 49 years, Tessie Ann Rakestraw; daughter, Jeanene and her husband Robert J. Ortiz of Pasadena, Texas; daughter, Joanne and her husband Douglas Choppin, granddaughters Lauren Marie Choppin and Brooke Ann Choppin of Houston, Texas; along with sisters Vera Atikinson, Connie Galvin and brothers Norman and Danny Rakestraw
Clyde was preceded in death by his parents Allen K. Rakestraw and Olive Mae (Beal) Rakestraw, bothers Allen Junior Rakestraw, Phillip Rakestraw, and sister Mary Rakestraw Spencer.
As per his wishes, cremation has been accorded. The Celebration of Clyde's Life will be held Wednesday, September 2, 2015 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at Forest Park East Funeral Home; 21620 Gulf Freeway, Webster, Texas 77598.
