Daniel Edward Houck

HOUCK, Daniel Edward, 41, of Mechanicsville, passed away on Saturday, January 28, 2023 after a fatal car crash. The devoted father of Alston, Cameron, Grant and Bella; devoted stepfather of Lexie and Kayli; much loved son of Steve Houck (Teresa) and Edwina Martin Houck; devoted brother of Stevie (Nhung) and Drew Houck; devoted stepbrother of Nick and Cara. He will be painfully missed by his family, aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends. Daniel graduated from Atlee High School in 1999 where he was a standout all-around athlete, enjoying competing on the basketball, volleyball and soccer teams. He was an avid golfer, was happy rooting for his favorite sports teams, especially Duke and he loved spending time on the beach with his family most of all. He believed fiercely in goodness, love and his family and friends, especially his children. The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 4, 2023 from 2 to 3 p.m. at Woody Funeral Home, 9271 Shady Grove Rd., Mechanicsville, Va. 23116 where a memorial service will immediately follow at 3 p.m.
