I just heard of Davd's death. He treated me on several occasions. He was very friendly and carried on a meaninful conversation on a number of subjects not related to dentistry. He was an interesting person. By coincidence he worked with the same surgeon at Yale-New Haven Hospital who repaired my aneurysm some years ago. We spent some time comparing our assessment of this fellow. May memories of David be a blessing. Richard C. Woodhouse, Milford, MA

I am so deepy saddened today, to learn of his passing. My deepest sympathies to his family. My children were patients of his. He was so intentional with connecting with them both..with my daughter it was skiing, with my son, they talked about his NROTC involvement and his respect for those who serve. He was not only skilled as a surgeon, he was kind and a very good man to his patients and families. He will be deeply missed by so, so many.

I didn't know David well, but he removed my son's wisdom teeth and also extracted a hidden tooth that was growing towards his sinuses. I spoke to him recently about removing my own wisdom teeth.
David treated his patients with kindness and compassion.

My condolences to his family and friends. He will be missed.

This is a tragic loss of a compassionate human being. He saved my husbands life from a horrendous infection on the chin due to cancer yet Dr. Emanuel said "I saved his life for bringing him in". My condolences to the family. He will be missed and my husband will be looking for him.

So sorry for all of you. Mr. Emanuel was an amazing person and was always so kind to me, especially when Sammy and I came swimming with Emily and Jessica. Enjoyed looking at his microscope and all of the science labs he had set up. He was a truly caring and loving father and I am so glad I got to meet him.

Dear Shelly & children,
When we moved to Overlook Drive, first & only person to welcome us was David, our next door neighbor, with a visit & a bottle of wine..Later we became good friends of his wonderful parents. We now live in Maine near our youngest daughter,son-in-law & their children. David was the age of our children. Indeed we lost our eldest son-in-law to pancreatic cancer during the pandemic. Their children were just through college & living away. Our thoughts & prayers are with you.
May the memories your wonderful family sustain all of you!
Our deepest sympathy

Dave was a prince. He was an intern when I was a first year resident, and we had many great times together. He put others before himself, and he worked tirelessly to help his patients. Unfortunately I never had the opportunity to meet Shelly and the kids, but I know he loved them wholeheartedly. He will be greatly missed.
