Dianne Disorbio Obituary

Dianne Disorbio

1941 - 2024

Holladay, UT-Dianne Disorbio passed from this life peacefully in her sleep May 22, 2024. She was born December 11, 1941 to Mike and Evelyn Disorbio. Dianne was always the social butterfly making everyone feel loved and important. She never met a stranger.

She graduated from Highland High School where she met McRay Magleby. They married and later divorced, but always remained forever friends. Together they had two children, Michelle and Justin.

Dianne went back to school and earned her Bachelor's in Psychology from BYU. She made a huge impact when she took a job working in the Granite school system as a counselor. She was an amazing artist and would draw Christmas cards each year that will forever be cherished. She also loved to garden and always had a gorgeous yard. Dianne was fondly known as "Nona" when grandkids came along and she loved that role.

She is survived by Justin, Michelle, ex-husband Mac, three grandchildren, Ella, Looner and Jaejay, two amazing aunts who were more like sisters, Yvonne and Helen, and two brothers, Mark and Bob. She is preceded in death by her parents and her beloved brother, David and her son in law, Brian Mason.

There won't be any services at this time, per her wishes. A family gathering to be held at a later date.

My deepest condolences to the family. Dianne's passing brought to mind many memories of our youth and the passing of Dave in 2021. For "Hunk," remember that the Italian name doesn't change that swedish heritage! My best to all in the family. One of my favorite poems is below, and I hope it gives you all some comfort.

Epitaph
by Merrit Malloy

When I die Give what´s left of me away To children And old men that wait to die. And if you need to cry, Cry for your brother Walking the street beside you. And when you need me, Put your arms Around anyone And give them What you need to give to me.
I want to leave you something, Something better Than words Or sounds.
Look for me In the people I´ve known Or loved, And if you cannot give me away, At least let me live on in your eyes And not on your mind.
You can love me most By letting Hands touch hands, By letting Bodies touch bodies, And by letting go Of children That need to be free.
Love doesn´t die, People do. So, when all that´s left of me Is love, Give me away.
I´ll see you at home In the earth.

"Miss Dianne" and her dog Finn walked past our home on Woodmont Dr several times a day. She always took time to stop and talk with my little grandchildren. Dianne was one of my most favorite neighbors to chat with. She was so down to earth and just a lovely gal. I already miss her tremendously. We vented to each other about many aspects of life! To Dianne´s family, know she loved you and that every neighbor within her walking distance adored her.
