Margo Joan Ginn, age 85, passed away peacefully at Baptist Hospital, Lexington on Sunday, August 31, 2025.
She was born on May 31, 1940 in Muses Mills, Kentucky to Roy & Lula Masters. She was raised in Lewis County, moved to Cincinnati after graduating High School, then moved to Flemingsburg where she lived until her recent move in 2021 to Cynthiana to be closer to her daughter, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
Margo was employed at Farmers Deposit Bank/Community Trust Bank in Flemingsburg for 45 years. She held many positions including bookkeeper, teller, loan officer, assistant branch manager, and she retired at the age of 74 as Compliance Officer. Margo enjoyed reading, shopping, quilting, UK basketball, and spending time with family. She was known as Mom, Mamaw Margo, Bob Bob, Miss Margo, Mother Margo and many called her their second Mom.
Margo was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Phyllis Stamm of Flemingsburg and sister Gloria Dean Bradley of Ohio.
She is survived by a daughter, Jenecia (Ken) Bethel of Cynthiana, brother Mike Masters, Flemingsburg, sister Pam Rankins, Lexington, grandchildren Stacia (Brent) Cockrell of Cynthiana, Casey (Michelle) Hinton of Georgetown, great grandchildren Brynlea Cockrell and Zane Cockrell, special nieces who were like daughters, Angie (John) Catron, Berea, Brandi (Chevas) Sparks, Nicholasville, and Mika Sapp, Flemingsburg, great nephews Nathan Stamm, John Ashley Catron, and Bryson Brawner, great nieces Britney Catron and Emily Sapp, niece Sylvia Bradley, and nephews David Bradley and Jeffery Bradley of Ohio.
Visitation will be held after 11:00 am on Friday, September 5, 2025, at Michael R. Gray Funeral Home, Flemingsburg. Funeral service and Celebration of Life at 1:00 p.m. with John Kelley of Leesburg Christian Church presiding. Burial will be at the Fleming County Cemetery. Family members will serve as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Shriners Children’s Hospital, 111 Conn Terrace, Lexington, Kentucky 40508, a cause that was near and dear to her heart, or Bluegrass Care Navigators Hospice Care, 1733 Harrodsburg Road, Lexington, Kentucky 40504.
