Glen and The Godz impressed me very much on their debut album and in concert when they landed at the Orpheum Theatre in Boston in March 1978. The Godz were one of the most memorable bands that I ever saw and having been to several 100 concerts since that time, that is saying a lot. RIP Glen and my condolences to Mary Lou and his entire family. Thank you for some of my greatest music memories.

Glen was one of my very best friends in Junior High, High School and after. I remember our times in Scouting and our trips when we were skipping school in High School. We would drive hundreds of miles with the Fiddler gang and Mike Fitsgerald visiting "historical sites" and other interesting places.
I started playing drums shortly after Glen and we went on to have competing bands. Glen was an excellent drummer and signer.
I remember the many times I went with Glen and Tim Fleischer as part of the Edicates and later Box Car.
I wish we had stayed in contact over the years. I was planning a trip to Columbus and wanted to find him when I discovered this news. Glen was a good friend.

I will always be a fan of Glen's music. In fact I played one of his albums moments before I received the news of him passing onto forever. I saw him play on tour in Philadelphia with the Godz and having never previously heard of them, became an instant fan for life, mainly because of the enthusiasm and passion Glen pored into his performance. It was obvious that Glen was proud of his music and wanted to make sure we all enjoyed our moment in time with him. I am sure his family and friends would say the same. My prayers go out to all who loved him and were loved by him. Metal Mike

I didn't know Glen personally, but have been a huge fan since i was a kid. The first Godz album was the first album i bought with my own money. I met Glen, Bob, Eric, and Mark when they did an in store at Peaches in Cleveland and they autographed albums. They were larger than life to a ten year old kid. Still love those songs! R.i.p Glen

On a really tough day at work, it was Glen who could put it all in perspective for you with a joke or a hilarious story. We laughed about the challenges of managing people, managing too much work with too few resources, and even managing ourselves. I walked away from every encounter much uplifted. To his family and friends, I have no doubt he'll still be stalking you...making sure you're enjoying life and laughing. His spirit was too big not to feel him around now and forever.

So many memories of Glen. We probably met when we were about 10 or 12. We ran the Southend streets together and in 1965 decided to start our first rock and roll band called The Edicates. We played on local TV shows, co-wrote a 45 RPM record and played music all over Ohio and sometimes in West Virginia and Pennsylvania. We had a blast back in those days and I'll never forget them. They shaped my life and I'm sure his. R.I.P. my old friend...until we meet again.

I always found Glen to be honest and straight forward and the loudest drummer I ever heard! I cherish the nights at the Garden Inn where Glen, Lowell Reed, Dan Mazik exploded the place with rock and roll. I will truly miss him!!!

My words cannot fully express the sorrow I feel after learning about Glens passing. I will ever treasure the great memories of our heydays. More than twenty years ago, Glen took a chance on a rookie and taught me the ropes. He was an incredible coach and manager--but an even better friend. He has left an indelible impact. Mary Lou , my deepest sympathies are with you and your family at this time of grief.

Mary Lou, I was so sad to hear the news last Sunday. Glen was such a great guy. I always enjoyed my times with him at happy hours, the occasional times we did golf together or just running into him in the halls at work. He was one of the first I met at Bank One in 1984 and I will miss him.

I just heard the devastating news. Mary Lou, I'm so sorry to hear this. I haven't seen Glen since he retired from Chase, but have many great memories of working with him, playing music with him, and a couple golf trips we've shared. Such as loss for anyone that knew Glen - my prayers are with your family and all his other friends.
