GLEN WINTON Obituary

Glen P. Winton of Des Plaines Glen P. Winton, 81, died peacefully on Sunday, Aug. 19, 2012, with his family by his side. Glen was born on Oct. 16, 1930, in Evanston IL, and was preceded in death by his son, Peter Jacob Winton. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Arden Winton; his daughters, Linda Sylverne (Robert) of Palatine, IL and Lisa Joern (Henry) of Ingleside, IL; his daughter-in-law, Margie Winton of Houston, TX; his grandchildren, Briann Steffler (Cole), Kyal Sylverne, Shannon Winton (Ryan), Zach Zamost, Ryan Sylverne (Rachel), Ian Zamost, Seth Zamost, Myles Sylverne, Glenn Winton and Hypatia Winton; and great-grandchildren, Cassandra, Julian, Jacob and Morgan. Glen graduated from Northwestern University with a degree in chemical engineering, and then went on to John Marshall Law School, where he graduated with a Juris Doctor in law. He enjoyed a satisfying career as a patent attorney until his retirement in 1991. After retirement, he and his wife Arden enjoyed travel, the theater, and much time with their family. A private service will be held for immediate family. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society.

His laughter was infectious, lighting up the whole room. Glen would make you laugh when he laughed. I'm so sorry for you loss.

A very good man and great family man. I couldn't imagine having a better father in-law than Glenn. We will miss him.
