We were blessed to have many great teachers at White House HS. Mrs. Fleming was at the top of the list. I've thought of her often and so glad to know she had a wonderful life and family. We all were better for her presence in our lives.

My deepest sympathy to the Fleming family. Mrs. Fleming and I taught together at WHHS. She was so full of wisdom and advice to those of us who were young and inexperienced. I valued her friendship greatly and will miss her yearly Christmas letters, always filled with news of her family.

"A hundred years from now it will not matter what my bank account was, the sort of house I lived in, or the kind of car I drove... but the world may be different because I was important in the life of a child."

I am so sad to hear this news today. I had called Mirs Fleming not long ago and even after 40+ years, all I had to say is my name, and she remembered me. We had a great conversation. I had intended to stop on a trip through Knoxville to see her. It turns out that I was in a hurry, and didn't get to stop. Now I will always regret that.
As a teacher at WHHS, she inspired me daily. She always complimented In her words both spoken and written. She was a great teacher, and person. I'm truly sorry for the loss. My prayers will be with her family.
