Dear Mrs. Gibson and Family: We are so saddened to just now learn of Bert's recent passing. My husband, Ed & I knew Bert as a customer for his passion-- quail hunting. We were his supplier for the past 4-5 years. When I didn't hear from him I knew something was very wrong with him. He was such a wonderful, nice, respectable caring man, and it was always a wonderful pleasure in doing business with him. He was a good friend to us as well. Our hearts and prayers go out to you all. We are so very sorry for your loss. Bert will be missed by us all, but will always be in our memories.
Our Deepest Sympathies, Ed & Shelly Morris

To the Gibson Family,
I am very saddened to have heard this news. Bert was a very good lawyer, friend, and I always appreciated his common sense approach to business issues. Most of all, I loved how he mixed good humor into his legal opinions. I will miss him very much.
Peace be will you all.

Dear Sally, Anne, & Terry. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this diffcult time. Bert was a good man and was always very good to me. I enjoyed a lot of firsts with Bert & Terry during my teen years. My first wild pig, first fish on a fly, first Sailfish Club cheesburger, first hunting buggy accident, first arrest, etc. Bert was an excellent Husband, Father, Outdoorsman, Attorney and Dancer:). He will live on in our hearts and minds. His legacy is not only seen through his family, but also through his many achievements and contributions to his community. He will be missed!

Sally - Jane and I are deeply saddened to hear of your loss. I first met Herb on the playgrounds at Phipps Park in 1957 and we became lasting friends. Herb taught me how to play tennis and we played on the same Little League baseball team. I have many fond memories of fishing and bird hunting together. Both Herb and his father were very kind to my mother and sister over the years providing legal services when needed. I am so glad that we had the chance to see Herb and you again last June. Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Dear Sally, Wally and family,
Sandy and I are deeply grieved to learn of Bert's passing. Our families have known each other since childhood, through college and beyond, so it gives us great sadness to hear that Bert had passed. Sandy had known both Bert and Wally at Sewanee. Richard and I had known Bert for many years. Our thoughts and prayers are for you, Sally, your children and your family at this difficult time. God bless each and every one in your family.

Sally-My sincere condolences. Herb and I first met nearly 60 years ago when we were in 4th grade together at Southboro Elementary. He called himself Herb then so he was forever Herb to me. I am so glad that I was able to have an extended conversation with him earlier this year before the reunion. All the best to you and your family.

Sally, Anne and Terry,
I was saddened to learn today of Bert's passing. I have some fond memories of working at the firm with everyone and for someone (me) who didn't want to learn real estate, Bert taught me a lot for which I am thankful because I am still using that knowledge today. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.
