I'm so sorry, I didn't know until now. Please accept my condolences. I'm your Texas cousin.

Dr. Bradsher was one of the most precious MD's that I had the privilege to work with in 32 years of nursing. He was always the same. I never saw him angry. I never heard him say an unkind work to anyone. He was a wonderful helper to my husband thru many years of respiratory problems and I am sure they are enjoying the rest in Heaven together today!!

I agree with all the sentiments expressed before my signing. I plan to attend the service this afternoon but as you may have heard it would only confuse Jerry. Jake phoned Jerry long after memory failed my husband and Shirley was of a great help to me in my understanding of Alzheimer's. I loved your mother and father with all my heart and they knew that.
I shall not forget their kindness, ever. Both your parents were an education and an inspiration. With love and sadness, Dottie Peagler

Hi Brooks, Jay, Sherrill,

I am sad to hear of Uncle Jake's passing. They just don't make guys like him anymore. I still cite his handshake as the model of how it should be done.

February 29, 2012

Jay, I am sorry to hear of the loss of your Dad. Even though I didn't know him personally, I bet he was a lot like you, a kind and giving person. From the pictures, I can see the joy in his expressions that he received from his family and living life it self.

God's Blessings on you and family during this time, Jim

My sympathies to Dr. Bradsher's family. Your Dad was kind, caring and compassionate not only towards his patients, but those who worked in the hospital setting. He always spoke, even if one would run into him in the community. One of my fondest memories of Dr. Bradsher was when his grandchild, Molly, was born ..he was absolutely thrilled when he talked about her ...family meant so much to him! My thoughts and prayers to you during this difficult time. Laura C Miller RN

I am a St. Mary's graduate (1960). Of all the physicians I have known through the years, Dr. Bradsher was the most outstanding example of a caring doctor. He was so kind and compassionate, and he was always respectful to the nurses.

In 1981, after doing surgery on my late husband, Dr. Bradsher had to tell me that my husband had lung cancer and there was nothing they could do...I've always remembered his kindness and gentleness at one of the most difficult times in my life..I have thought of him often as it was a pivotal moment for me and my young daughters.....that is all I knew of him, but his kindness has never been forgotten....thank you...my prayers are with your family

To the Bradsher family,
You have lost a gracious and caring gentleman. He was always seeing his patients with quiet smile and compassion as he made his rounds at St.Mary's. I will always remember the story he told me about himself,Molly, and the rocking chair.
when i last saw him a few weeks ago,we were still laughing about it. Keep his
momories close to your heart and he will always be with you.

Dr. Bradsher was such an inspiration and example: A great physician, such a gentle caring personality, had great concern for young physicians, like myself many years ago. I never heard a negative word about him. I feel blessed to have known him.

Jake was as fine a physician and surgeon as he was a man. It was always a pleasure to work with him at St. Mary's. He always had the admiration and respect of his patients and his medical peers. My sympathy to his family and friends.....Joe Hathaway
