James Brown Obituary
Sevierville - James Chancy Brown, Jr., age 74 of Sevierville, passed away Monday, April 19, 2021. We lost an amazing Husband, Father, Poppa, Brother, and Friend. He was preceded in death by his Father, James Chancy Brown, Sr.; Mother, Nannie Louise Brown; Sister, Rhonda Moore McCosh; Son, Michael Troy Brown. Jim is survived by his Loving Wife of 55 years: Elsie Fay Brown; Children: Amanda Oglesby (Rich), Kellye Watkins (Jimmy), Honey Brown, and James F. Brown (Penelope); Grandchildren: Jordan, Casey, Jodie, Camille, Jana, Bethany, Makayla, and Jamie; Four Great-grandchildren; Sisters: Susan and Shirley; Brother: Kenny (Janie); and many Nieces and Nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: Sevier County Department of Special Education, 1834 Jack Delozier Drive, Sevierville, TN 37862. The family will receive friends 5 -7 PM Friday, April 23rd with the Memorial Service to follow at 7 PM in the Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home, Sevierville, with Rev. Daniel Overton officiating. Arrangements are in the care of Atchley Funeral Home, Sevierville. There will be a celebration of life 5-8 PM Friday, April 30th at Hibbett and Hailey Funeral Home, Donelson, TN. Fantastic brother-n-law! Would give his shirt off his back to help anyone! He was a caring man, loved having fun, always smiling and making people happy! Most of all, he loved his family! My most memorable times, were all of us sitting around playing trivia pursuit and he was good! So many more memories to mention but to little space! You will be sadly missed Junior! Until we all meet again! RIP

Elsie and family, I am so sorry for your loss. I am so grateful that I got to meet James on the cruise high school friends took several years ago. I liked him instantly and will remember that time fondly.
