I had the pleasure of working with James at Oncor. He was a very smart man and knew his work and I enjoyed knowing and working with him. When I left the company I lost touch and just found out today he had passed. The world is a little less brighter now that he is gone. He was a good man.

As I am close with Courtney your step daughter all I heard about you, James is that you were a great man not only to your wife Linda, but also to your children and grand children. God blessed you with a strong step daughter whom is by your wife's side as they mourn for your loss. I pray that God uses you in heaven for beautiful things in their lives. May you praise the Lord in His presence now.

I am so sorry for your loss.
Whenever I think of him it's not as 'James', it's as 'James Cheever'. I don't remember why....it just is.
We worked together at TU in 1996 on the DIS Integration project. I remember him as an open book. He shared alot and laughed alot too.
It is with regret I am unable to be at James' memorial service.
Peace be with you.
