The folks at Bass, Nixon & Kennedy, Inc., Engineers, extend our deepest sympathies for your loss. Words certainly can't mend broken hearts, but the wonderful memories of Jimmy will certainly ease your pain. We certainly enjoyed our business and personal relationship with Jimmy over the years. May Peace and Comfort be with the Rogers family.

AS a coach of the '82 Greensboro Twisters, our teams competed many times on the soccer field. Jimmy was always the complete gentleman, win or lose. The girls on our respective teams became good friends, both on and off the field, and I attribute much of that to the good sportsmanship he instilled in his players. I considered him a friend, professionally, socially and athletically. Best wishes to his family.

Jim was a treasured friend and I will miss him more than I can express with words. His wise advice and help with my
family and business matters will never be forgotten and I will be eternally indebted to him for that. I so miss his
afternoon phone calls just to see if all was well with us. Jim was the single most important person to help
me and my family start and maintain our
family business over the past 45 years
and was the wisest man I've ever known. Jim will be in my prayers forever. Tears are on my face as I write this and must stop. My condolences to Sara, son Jim and daughters. If I can ever help any to any of you, just call. May God bless and keep Jim in his peace forever and ever. He will be missed.

So sorry to hear of Jimmy's passing. I never had him as a coach, but growing up playing for CASL and in high school his name and presence were always around. Years after I played my dad would run into him at the Wellness Center and let me know he had asked about me. Sending thoughts and prayers of comfort to the entire family.

To Sara and family, Tom and I are deeply saddened over the death of Tom's longtime friend from high school years, and fraternity years at Wake Forest, where I first met Runt at the PiKA house and then sweet, sweet you. He was so special to so many folks of all ages, and especially to us. We cherish our fun and fond memories of him, and the great love he had in his heart for all who knew and loved him. He was a wonderful friend to us both. Tom and I are most grateful for the time spent with the two of you in your home last summer. God has received a new angel in His midst, one who will bring more Joy and more Love into his new and glorious Home as he jokes and laughs in that great Mansion in Heaven! Runt will truly be missed, but never forgotten. We are very sorry to be unable to attend the memorial service. Much love to you and your precious family, Alice Ann and Tom Mundy

My deepest and sincerest thoughts are with you Jimmy was a major asset to my loan business and his ability to solve problems will be missed and not replaced.
I remember with tears the words Jimmy shared with me when my wife who he loved as a processor died.
I am glad I was able to refer him a lot of business inspite of him being such a Democrat.

To the entire Rogers family my deepest sympathy! Jimmy( and you're entire family) was such a big part of my childhood. I played for Jimmy with Sharon on the 68 Spartans! I have such dear memories of times with Jimmy on and off the field! I will always remember his love and remarkable dedication to girl's soccer! He certainly left a mark on my life and am grateful for the years I played for him! He was a great man, and I know you will all miss him dearly! Know you are all in my thoughts, and I pray God gives you peace and surrounds you in the days ahead with the love of friends and family!
Much love to all,

Runt Rogers and I were at WFU Law many, many years ago. We both connected again through Judge John Larkins. He was a good long time friend of whom I always felt a friendly connection. He was a good lawyer and more importantly, a "good guy". He shall be missed by all who knew him. Doug Connor

Deeply sorry to hear about the loss of Coach Jimmy. I played for him at Saint Mary's from 2000-2001 and loved him as a coach dearly. He had a great way of cultivating a relationship with each of his players and I carry many of the things he taught us on and off the field with me today.
I don't live in NC anymore or else I would certainly attend the celebration of his life - because he was a big part of mine.
My prayers are with your family during this time.

Dear, Dear Jimmy,
You were the reason I brought my daughter Jesse out to Spartan tryouts at the tender age of 8 or 9. (I can't remember now.) Or as you dubbed her "Trigger"
You brought a sense of humor, passion, and watchful eye to all the young women who played for you. You are sorely going to be missed.
I wish I could be there but am scheduled to be in NYC the entire weekend beginning early on Thursday.
I will happily give a donation in your name to the SPCA, we also shared a love of animals, especially dogs.
I enjoyed my time with you and happily so did my daughter, you have my gratitude for that. Women's soccer in Raleigh was better due to your input.
Rest In Peace,
Marie Pierce

Jimmy Rogers was a heck of coach for my daughters select team and a great person to be around. He passed on some great expertise and inspired many of the women on to greater success. Thanks Jimmy. M best wishes and condolences to his family.

Mighty sad news to the many that worked with Jim over the years. A great friend is gone but we will see him again!

Jimmy Rogers was a good friend and mentor during my years of coaching girls youth soccer in the 1980s and 1990s. As one of my coaches, he was instrumental in helping our Spartan Speed team forge a two year unbeaten streak against the powerful Washington Area Girls Soccer league. When personal and business pressures forced me to step back from coaching, he assumed leadership of the team and maintained their supremacy in youth soccer throughout their period of eligibility. We drifted apart over the years, as I moved into coaching high school and eventally retired from coaching. He will always be one of the "good guys" of the world to me and has more than earned his rest. My best wishes and condolences to his family and his many many other friends. John Kinney, Garner,NC
