Hi Daddy,
Just can't believe it has been ten years since you left us heaven-bound. Of course, we think of you every day and have such great memories. I've been going through hundreds of photos, putting them in books, so that all of yours and our grandchildren and great grandchildren can enjoy them. We love you and miss you, Bev (and Barb)

When I first went to Station 4, as a brand new FF, it was Papa Joe that welcomed me and took me in. He showed me the ropes, how to act and be professional. Over the years our careers crossed many times and Joe was always that same loving and caring person I had grown to know and truly respect. He was just Joe. Love ya, Joe, and thanks for all the pearls of wisdom you have pasted on to me, believe me they will never be forgotten.

To The Cancilla Family,
When I was a brand new firefighter, I worked at old Station 4 with Joe. I can say is that he love his job as a Fire Engineer and he loved his wife and family.
We shared a lot of laughs and worked some good size fires together.
I know that you will miss him and I truly considered Joe a friend and I also will miss him. He helped me a lot as a rookie firefighter.
God bless you, now Joe is with the Angels.

When I was a little boy Joe used to tell me stories about when he was a fireman. A few years later I announced to him that one day I was going to be a fireman just like him when I grew up. Over the years, I didn't see Joe very often, mostly during the holidays at my Aunt Judy's. Joe would always ask if I still wanted to be a fireman and I always said yes. Well after I graduated from college I moved to southern Calif. and went into the academy to fulfill my dream of becoming a fire fighter. My only regret is that I never got to see Joe again and tell him that I was a fire fighter. I know my parents let him know that I was with the LAFD but I wish I could have told him myself, just to see the expression on his face, and shake his hand from one fire fighter to another. Joe was a man with great character, pride, and had good work ethics. I am fortunate to work with two great captains that remind me of him.
I will truly miss him.

In loving memory of a sweet, sweet man. Joe reminded me of my Papa. They were both name Joe, and they were both good Italian men who adored their wives. Joe had a great sense of humor, was very kind and made the best chicken wings. The holidays were always fun when he was around. He will be greatly missed.
With love,

Dannielle,Bev,&Barb,
May your hearts be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together with your Dad. Joe was a very sweet, caring, man with a great sense of humor. I remember his jokes, his meows, and the twinkle in his eyes. He loved his wife, his girls, his fire department, and his pisanos! He was a man of great integrity who will be dearly missed by all who had the priveledge of knowing him. May the knowledge that Joe is in heaven, reunited with the love of his life, Pauline, give you great comfort during your sorrow.
With Much Love from,
~Cherie Camarlinghi and Family

As a member of the 7:30 club I can say we all will miss Joe. We all enjoyed his stories and most of all his sense of humor. He was always getting fined for disrupting the meetings by imitating the sounds of a cat or dog. He was always very active in the 7:30 club and was always doing something for the club without expecting praise or gratitude, he did it because he wanted to and for the betterment of the club. That was Joe as I remember him. He certainly will be missed by all of us. Our hearts go out to all of the family. May God keep and bless him. I know He is sure gonna get a kick out of Joe.
