May, Jr. - Joseph A., passed away on Saturday, January 28th, 2023, at the age of 92, surrounded by family at home. Devoted husband of 65 Years to Joan Marie May. Graduate of Fort Schuyler, SUNY Maritime and Columbia University. Retired USN Commander and Chief Engineer of the New York City Board of Education. Loving father of Patricia (Dino) Susanne (John) and Elizabeth (Richard.) Adored grandfather of Alyssa, Caitlin, Gabrielle, Emily and Carolyn. Family will receive friends Monday, January 30th, from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm, at O.B. Davis Funeral Home in Miller Place. Mass at St. Anthony's of Padua, Rocky Point, Tuesday, January 31st, at 11:30 am. Interment to follow at Calverton National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to St. Anthony's of Padua Church in Rocky Point.
