Josie was a registered dietitian with 30 years experience and was a member of the American Dietetic Association. Josie is survived by her children, Kathy Kusch Gremillion and husband Doug, Deacon Robert Kusch and wife Carla, and Tiger Kusch and wife Robyn; grandchildren, Jason, Justin and Jennifer Gremillion, Rachelle, Rebecca and Robert Kusch II, and Angelle and Andrew Kusch V; sister, MaryAnn Smith; and numerous nieces and nephews. Josie was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew H.C. Kusch Jr.; parents, Dominic and Biaggia Amadeo Cacioppo; siblings, Janie Giacone, Carlos Cacioppo, John Cacioppo and Cyrus Cacioppo. Visitation at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church on Friday, July 1, was from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., with a recitation of the rosary at 7 p.m. Visitation resumes at the church on Saturday, July 2, from 9 a.m. until a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Interment in Greenoaks Memorial Park. Kathy,
I was out of town when I received the news of Mrs. Josie. I really got to know your mom working with the St. Joseph's Altar. I will always remember her as a kind and sweet person with a smile that would light up a room. She will be sadly missed by all.

My prayers are with your entire family.

Kathy ... I cannot begin to tell you how sad I was when Daddy called with this news ... Your mother was an amazing woman (which you already knew), who was a tremendous help and support to Mom and Daddy when Corrine was battling cancer, and in fact, they were talking about that very recently. My fondest memories of Mrs. Kusch were when Heidi was first born and I would come to visit Mom at school... Mrs. Kusch acted as if Heidi were her very own grandchild, just ooohing and ahhhing all over her ... She always made me feel so special and I loved her dearly for that. This world has lost a true treasure!

We would like to offer our condolences to Ms. Josie's family. She was truly a God send friend to us at St. Alphonsus and everywhere we saw her whether at church, the mall, the fair, she was always such a devout Christian lady with love in her heart for all she came in contact with. We love you all and you are all in our prayers and thoughts during this very difficult time. May God give you all the comfort that is needed during this very hard time!

God Bless,

I'd like to offer my condolences to Ms. Josie's family. I knew you will all miss her greatly. I have nothing but wonderful memories of my godmother, Katie Dispenza, & Josie working together - especially making cookies for the St. Joseph Altar. I guess Josie & Katie are cooking up some heavenly sweets now...together again!!!
