Julia Ziakas Obituary
In 1952, Julia graduated from East High School. She married George Ziakas on January 11, 1953. She was a loving wife, mother, aunt, grandmother and great grandmother.
Her happiest times were fishing with her husband and going for long rides in the mountains. She loved to crochet afghans, put together puzzles, coloring and sticker books. She held tight to her greek traditions and was always ready with a fresh tiropita when visiting friends and family. Her fondest memories were of helping bake with the Philoptochos Society for the Greek Festival.
Julia was preceded in death by her husband George, son George Chris, sister Connie Shilaos and granddaughter Stacey Fox. She is survived by her her children; Mary (Ray Fox), John (Brooke), her grandchildren; Kristina, Eric, Kameron and great grandchildren Hazel Dakota, Jaxton and triplets Kinsley, Paisley and Parker.
A viewing will be held on Friday, May 6 at 10:00 am with funeral services to follow at Holy Trinity Cathedral at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers we would welcome donations to the church.

Ziakas Family,
I have so many great memories of spending time with Julia, Connie, theía (Vassilike Javaras) and all of this wonderful family.
Today, Desiree and I were at Mt. Olivet planting flowers at Elaine and Penelope's resting area. We were saddened to see the fresh earth. Love you aunt Julie.

John, Mary and your families,
The greatest memories we have of your Mom is how she treated our two young boys. Julia was another Grandma to Mike and Matt. She is a beautiful person inside and out. She will be greatly missed but will remain in the hearts of all who knew her.

Ziakas family,
I am so sorry to hear of Julia´s passing.
She really was such a big part of the Kontgis family. My mom loved her like a sister. We all loved her and her gentle soul.
Soar high sweet Julia. I truly pray you and my mom have joined forces in the heavens
