Katherine Reaves Obituary

Funeral service for Mrs. Katherine Caussey Reaves, 77, of Anniston, will be at 1 p.m. Friday, September 17, 2010, at Gray Brown-Service Chapel with Bob McCloud officiating. Burial will follow at Oxford Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends tonight from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Reaves passed away Wednesday at her home in Anniston. Survivors include her daughters, Gail Reaves Noell, of Bynum, Robin Fleming (Scott), of Anniston, Ginger Reaves Sojka, of Pensacola, Fla.; son, Michael Reaves (Judy), of Monroe, Ga.; 18 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and was expecting her first great-great-granddaughter in October who will be named Katherine Danielle Smith in honor of Mrs. Reaves; brother, James Nolan Caussey, of Coldwater; several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Reaves is preceded in death by her husband, James E. Reaves; daughter, Katherine Diane Mason; son, Kenneth E. Reaves; and three great-grandchildren, Brandon, Heaven and Leilani Mason. Pallbearers will be David Caussey, John Cupo, Scott Fleming, Barry Fowler, Jerry Harris and Darrell Mathews. Mrs. Reaves was a lifelong resident of Calhoun County and a member of Calvary Baptist Church of Oxford. She was a very loving mother and will be greatly missed.
