Kenneth Mauk Obituary

Kenneth Mauk

Nov. 29, 1936 - April 17, 2021

Kenneth Wayne Mauk, 84, of Chalk Bluff, passed away Saturday, April 17, 2021. Funeral service will be 10 a.m., Friday, April 23, at Connally/Compton with Reverend David Cozart officiating. Burial to follow in Rosemound Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, April 22, at the funeral home.

Kenneth was born on November 29, 1936, in Franklin, Texas, to Odie and Florine (Chaneyworth) Mauk. The family moved to Elm Mott when he was a young child and attended Connally schools. He graduated from Connally High School in 1955. Ken worked for General Tire as a young man. He went to the mobile home industry and retired from Fleetwood Homes as the quality manager.

Ken's hobbies included spending time with his friends and family, fishing, hunting, spending time at the farm growing his hay and he never missed a day drinking coffee with his other retired buddies at Dee's Donuts in Elm Mott. Dad will be forever missed but never forgotten. He has started a new life in a better place with our Lord Jesus Christ.

He was preceded in death by his parents and older brother, Arbon Earl Mauk.

Survivors include sons, Stephen Mauk of Chalk Bluff, Bryan Mauk and wife, Leigh Ann, of Leesburgh, Georgia and Kelly Mauk and wife, Annette, of Gardner, Kansas; eight grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; sister, LaFern Leslie of Atlanta Georgia.

A very special thanks from the family to the staff of Westview Manor Nursing Home in McGregor for taking care of Dad for the past three years. He loved everyone there and called it his home. He especially enjoyed harassing the nursing staff which they gave it right back. You all will be missed.
