I've just recently found out of her actual passing. I assumed that maybe she had- Im 43, and met her when I was 16. She was very stern, but it was all in a loving way. She was special to everyone in the house. I was there over X-mas, and i still remember the part of the X mass play that was put in on reference to her. Unfortunatley for me, I was not yet through my path. I wish I could've let her know then, that I would remember years, and years later. I will never forget her honestly. Was serious about helping, but knew when to be loving, and caring. Serious, but had a sense of humor, amd could laugh. What the people she helped were dealing with is a serious matter, so i understand why she was serious at times. But she also let us know how caring, and loving someone could be, even after all the people she had met, still manage to see is all as individuals. After I had left E.H., I still called and talked to her every so often. She'd never torn down my call. I only wish that now that I'm over 25, almost 30 years older that I could thank her for her caring nature. I wish I could've saw everything i see now in clarity, but then. I would've made sure to say to her what a good person she was. I'm sure she knew. So really what she did for me specifically. All I know is that she was in the right field. I still know some people from that time. They live her just as much as I do. God bless you Louise. Thank you for making me feel worth something, and special. I know you made a difference in SO MANY LIVES! I know your family is proud. Thank you so muchCondolences to the family that lost this strong, beautiful woman. She lives on with so many people though I know that for a fact
Love you Louise Thank you for all the help you've provided to many.

My deepest sympathy to Louise's family and EH friends. I was shocked and saddened by Louise's passing. Louise was an amazing woman who was able to help me find gratitude when I no longer had any. She talked about the "sweetness" inherent in women in recovery. I will never forget her compassion as well as her frustration and tenacity with me as an extremely challenging client. She was the heart of Emerson House and I am a better person for having known her.

My sincere and heartfelt condolences to the family.
I was friends with Mary Keefe at SHS, and learned of Louise Keefe's recent passing at St. Mary's this weekend.
Based on the kind of young woman Mary was becoming, it seems evident that she had a terrific Mom.

To all of Louise,s family please accept my deep sympathy.Your mother and I were best of friends in high school.I left her a few messages this summer to get in touch as we were looking for classmates. She had a great personality and a smile to die for.Her petite size obviously didn,t stop her from having a large impact on so many as I read the other comments.I,ll rember all the good times we shared and am sorry we didn,t connect this summer again. I had the pleasure of being an intern at Emerson House last winter and was sad to hear of Louise's passing. She was such a lovely woman and I find myself thinking of her words of wisdom often. Her support and acceptance for those around her was obvious and I am happy to have had the opportunity to have known her.

For her family... Louise would often share how much she loved her children and grand-children through photos and stories. I am sorry for your loss.

Louise was such a special woman. She and my Grandmother Evelyn were great friends. Evelyn passed away in 1992 and I know how devastated Louise was. I feel peace knowing now that they are together again and am so fortunate to have reconnected with Louise this past year as she gave me advice with my own struggles. God Bless Louise!
