Lynda Cavanaugh Obituary

Lynda L. (Huster) Cavanaugh, born August 28, 1946, in Johnstown, PA, passed away on October 17, 2023. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Elizabeth Huster, and her brother, BJ Huster. Lynda is survived by her husband, Patrick R. Cavanaugh, her sons Sean Cavanaugh of Longmont and Ryan (Shelly) Cavanaugh, and their daughters Porscha and Shelby of Cheyenne, WY. She is further survived by her brother, Jack Brandimarte (Sue), and her sister-in-law, Sandi Huster. Lynda was a graduate of E. Fairmont High School and Fairmont State University. She was an exceptional athlete, enjoying tennis, skiing, running, biking, and scuba diving. Lynda married Patrick Cavanaugh on November 9, 1968. They moved to Longmont in 1970 from Warren, OH. She was a registered nurse and had worked as an RN at Longmont United Hospital. She was also a volunteer at OUR Center. She was an avid member and volunteer of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are requested to the Parkinson's Association of the Rockies. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 25, from 4-8 p.m., with Rosary Prayers being said at 6:00 p.m. at Howe Mortuary of Longmont. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 26, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church with a reception to follow.
