Margery Pearce Obituary

Margery "Marnie" Walker Pearce passed away Friday, June 27, 2014. Born in Columbia, S.C., she was a daughter of Julius Henry "Toots" Walker and Margery Ellison Walker. Marnie was predeceased by: her beloved husband of 61 years, Robert Roy Pearce; her daughter, Margery Walker Pearce, wife of Jack McIver Weatherford; her grandson, Drew Braxton Ridout; brothers, Julius Henry "Ducie" Walker, Charles Bruce Walker, and Eugene Ellison "Eli" Walker. She is survived by two daughters, Anne Webster Pearce and Jean Pearce Rentz. She is also survived by grandchildren, Roy Pearce Maybank and wife, Amanda, Walker Pearce Buxton and husband, Eddi, Christopher Pearce Ridout, John Dalrymple Snipes II and wife, Ashley, Marnie Snipes Cohen and husband, Jerod; and twelve great-grandchildren. "In this life we cannot do great things, we can only do small things with great love." In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the charity of your choice. Anne and jean, I was very sad to hear about the passing of Marnie. it is sad to know that she was the last sibling left, but we will have so many stories and memories to laugh about to keep her in our hearts. may her memory be eternal and may she live through her children and grandchildren.
