Lee Velasquez
HARLINGEN, TX.-
Michael Lee Velasquez, 28, was born February 12, 1984 in Harlingen, Texas and entered eternal rest Friday, March 30, 2012 at Harlingen Medical Center in Harlingen.
He graduated from Harlingen High School South where he played football. Michael loved all sports, was an avid Dallas Cowboy, Dallas Mavericks and Texas Rangers fan. He was a kind, loving person who was able to befriend anyone he met. He was a blessing to his mother, and was well loved by his family and many friends. Michael cherished his time spent and memories made with his dearest friends and family. He especially enjoyed movies, music, and sports. He will be greatly missed by his parents, girlfriend, family, and friends.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Cruz and Soledad Velasquez.
Michael is survived by his loving family to cherish his wonderful memory, parents, Norberto Diaz and Juanita Velasquez of Harlingen; girlfriend, Melissa Hernandez of San Benito; aunts, Ada Canales, Rosie (Orlando) Casanova, Mary (Rene) Sanchez, and Sandy V. (Art) Martinez; uncles, Martin (Cecilia) Velasquez, Peter (Hilda) Velasquez, and David Velasquez.
Visitation will be held today, March 31, 2012 from 2 PM to 9 PM and Sunday, April 1, 2012 from 1 PM to 9 PM with a rosary to be prayed Sunday evening at 7 PM at Trinity Funeral Chapel of the Holy Spirit.
A funeral mass of Christian burial will be held Monday, April 2, 2012 at 10 AM at Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church with interment to follow to Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in La Feria.
Honored to serve as pallbearers will be Martin Velasquez, Peter Velasquez, David Velasquez, Paul John de los Reyes, Sergio Reyes, Raymond Hinojosa, Ruben de la Rosa II, and Salvador Chavarria.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Trinity at Harrison Funeral Home 1002 East Harrison Avenue.

Janie I am sorry I was not able to attend Micheal's funeral but in my heart and soul I was there. Micheal brought alot of laughs to everyone around him. Memories will always be with me from the day he was born. This is not a goodbye it's till we meet up again. RIP Micheal Lee Velasquez! :)
