Fresno, California - Monte Bender was born on Aug. 13, 1941 to Helen and Fred Bender of Centerville, CA. Monte graduated from Sanger High in 1959. He served in the Reserve Marine Corp for 6 month after graduation. Monte quickly started working in the Frozen Food Industry and he continued to work in that field for 44 years. Monte met the love of his life Kay in 1962, they married in 1964. They welcomed two amazing sons Brett and Curt. Preceding in death Mom, Helen Bender, and nephews Russell and Randall. Monte is survived by his wife of 58 years Donna K.; his sons, Brett and wife Jennifer of Roseville, Curt and wife Carolyn of Turlock; his brother Wayne and wife Elsie of Wittman AZ; 4 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren; in-laws Betty and Carl Smarr of MO, Martha and Eldon Smith of KS, Helen Rowden, CA, Jackie and Steve Brueser of CA, Vernon Clark of CA, Bruce Davolt of CA ; and numerous nieces and nephews.
