At age 16 I went to work at the Atlantic National Bank through the DCT program at Landon High school.
I quickly learned of M.T. Cribbs. He was the kindest smartest man I met while I served with him at the bank.
During my 16 years at the bank I could always
depend on Mr. Cribbs for direction, advice , loyalty and a kind word. He loved the bank and what it stood for and it showed through my time there.
Mr. Cribbs was an outstanding person and mentor to me. God Rest his soul.

Dear, dear Frances, my thoughts are with you in your grief. The passing of a partner is one of the greatest losses that comes to us and believe me I sympathize with you deeply. Oh, what a pleasure it was working with M.T. at downtown ANB for over 28 yearsso friendly, so sweet, so nice. He always, always remembered my birthday and would call first thing the day of to wish me a happy one. What a wonderful family we had at ANB. So many good friends made there with M.T. being the glue that held us all together. His door was always open and I took advantage of that often. After his retirement it was fun dropping by your home to visit .seeing some of the lovely clothing he made for you. Frances, time will never dim his wonderfulness, but hopefully it will ease the raw pain of loss I know you are feeling now. Please convey to your family my heartfelt condolence. Affectionately,

My thoughts and prayers are with the Cribbs family at this time. I was fortunate to have the honor of starting my banking career with M. T. Cribbs in July, 1964 at the Atlantic National Bank. I worked with him for over 10 years before transferring to the Atlantic National Bank of Orlando. He was a wonderful person and a great mentor to a young man just starting his over 45 year career in banking in Jacksonville. I was truly blessed.

I began my career working for M.T. at the bank during the early '60s. He was a great leader that everyone looked up to for guidance. He will truly be missed.

Dear Francis and Jan, Thank you for calling me to tell me of M.T.'s, peaceful death. He will be long remembered by his friends, associates and church fellows for his kindness and most careful attention to
the problems at hand and for his loving care
for his family, especially his wife Francis, of so many long and wonderful years. Not many can say that. I will always remember him and keep him, Francis and
Jan in my daily prayers. I know God will hold him in the hollow of His hand until we all meet again. God bless you.
