Pamela Nelson, 80 of Beresford, formerly of Davis, passed away surrounded by her family on July 4, 2025 at the Dougherty Hospice Home, Sioux Falls. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, July 15, 2025 at the First Baptist Church, Viborg, with visitation begining at 1:00PM. Arrangements provided by Hofmeister-Jones Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be directed to the First Baptist Church (Viborg, SD), or Dougherty Hospice House (Sioux Falls, SD) in honor of Pam's memory.
Pam was a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and dear friend. She will be remembered for her boundless love, kindness, generosity, humor and wisdom.
Daughter of Floyd and Eleanor Lowman, Pam graduated from Centerville High School, then spent most of her life farming near Davis with her husband Roger. In addition, she worked as a realtor, and as postmaster in Davis for several years.
Pam enjoyed quilting, reading, and most of all, spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her daughters, Deborah (Scott) Pritchett, and Peggy (Gerald) Dahlin; her grandchildren Jessica (Brandon) Folk, Brad Pritchett, Megan Dahlin, and Madeline Dahlin; great-grandsons Liam, Palmer, Logan, and Fletcher; her sisters Linda Lowman, and Rhonda Dangel; and brother-in-law Warren Nelson. Pam also leaves behind cherished nieces, nephews, extended relatives, and many dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of nearly 60 years, Roger; her parents Floyd and Eleanor Lowman; her brother-in-law Dennis Nelson; sister-in-law Grace Nelson; and sister-in-law Mary Ann Nelson.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on July 15th, 2025 at First Baptist Church in Viborg, SD
