Polly was so instrumental in treating us Trinity Lutheran school kids to the joys of tennis at Memorial Park tennis courts! It was always a highlight to be able to leave school and practice/play on those nice courts, even clay(!) as a junior high student. Her efforts still bring a smile and heartfelt gratitude all these years later.
We also knew not to disparage others when she was around. She would always claim the subject was her relative:a brother, sister, cousin. Good life lessons.
My own 92yo Mother also passed away this Christmas Eve. I miss my hero as the Mohnke family misses theirs.

Accept my sympathies. She is with Jesus and the Saints. I am a 1961 Trinity Confirmand and Graduate. Write or call if I may help in any way. My prayers are with you all.
