Ray Shular

SHULAR, RAY - 99 went to Heaven on December 11, 2009 to meet his beloved wife, Annie Creswell Shular. He was a member of Second United Methodist Church and Top of the World Chapel. He was retired from ALCOA. He previously lived at Top of the World community on Chilhowee Mountain. He was preceded in death by parents, Charlie and Sallie Shular; sisters, Ada Cecil and Iva Lowe; infant sisters, Bonnie and Laverne Shular; granddaughter, Karen Henry; great grandson, Adam Shular; and great great grandson, Brandon. He is survived by brother, Lloyd Shular and wife Ruth of Nashville; sons: Leslie Shular and wife Wilma, Lynn Shular and wife Esther, and Don Shular; grandchildren: Gary Shular and wife Susan, Michael Shular and wife Eileen of Peoria, Illinois, David Shular of Gurley, Alabama, Donna Johnson and husband Steve, Diane Shular, and Debbie Stark; 14 great grandchildren; 9 great great grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6-8pm on Monday, December 14, 2009 with a funeral service to follow at 8pm in the Lynnhurst-Greenwood Chapel of Berry Funeral Home, Rev. M.C. Taylor officiating. Interment will be at 2pm Tuesday at Lynnhurst Cemetery. Memorial Donations may be made to Second UMC Window Project or Powell UMC Fellowship Class.
