Robert Bartolotta Obituary

Robert Joseph BartolottaFebruary 21, 1949 – January 16, 2025 Bartlett, Tennessee Robert Joseph Bartolotta, age 75, of Bartlett, Tennessee, passed away on Thursday, January 16, 2025. He was born on February 21, 1949, in Ansonia, Connecticut, to Joseph and Theodora Bartolotta, both of whom preceded him in death, along with his sister, Carol Palmer. Robert was a proud graduate of high school in Connecticut and went on to have a diverse and rewarding career. He spent 18 years working for Corometrics Medical Systems in Wallingford, Connecticut, before returning to school at Albertus Magnus College, where he completed his Bachelor's degree. Following that, he worked for Brother Industries for several years before transitioning into education. Robert became a beloved substitute teacher for both Tipton and Shelby County school systems for 15 years, leaving a positive impact on countless students. A deeply committed member of Bellevue Baptist Church, Robert led the children's ministry for 18 years, sharing his love for children and his faith with all who knew him. He was an adventurous spirit who loved to travel, meet new people, and plan unforgettable getaways. Robert had a special gift for bringing joy to others with his sense of humor, and he was the quintessential host-always ready to lend a hand and make others feel welcome. His love for music, karaoke, and playing his Gibson guitar was a source of joy for him, and he was known for his fun-loving, happy nature. Robert was married to the love of his life, Ellen Hutchinson, for nearly 30 wonderful years. He leaves behind Ellen, his son, Robert Bartolotta Jr. of Falls Church, Virginia; his daughter, Sharon Kish of Newtown, Connecticut; and two beloved grandchildren, Andrew and Matthew. He also leaves cherished memories of his life, filled with laughter, love, and kindness, for his many friends and loved ones. A celebration of Robert's life will be held at at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the children's ministry at Bellevue Baptist Church in Robert's honor or the charity of the donor's choice. Robert will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He never met a stranger and brought light and joy to every room he entered.
