I just learned that RD passed away today and it left a hole in me. Although I knew RD through my wife's friend, RD treated me like we had grown up together. What a great guy! He will be missed. Rest in Peace RD...Rest in Peace...

To the family of BD,
I was so saddened to read about BD in the Penn State Magazine this month. We were good friends in college. There was a small group of us that used to eat dinner together in the dining hall. We loved when BD joined us. He always had a smile on his face and a story to tell. We'd laugh and laugh. He told us how he wanted to be a sports announcer someday....we all knew he'd be successful. He certainly was! Please know that BD is fondly remembered by his friends from Penn State. With deepest sympathy,

Loved being in his life, for a few years, during his time in Atlanta. Remembering the silly pranks we played on each other, long talks about life, and fun times at many sporting events.

Always told him he “brought the sunshine with him wherever he went” – so it was quite ironic that we had the worst weather ever for the Super Bowl. Everything else about that day was perfect though; including being able to sit next to him during the game.

Admired many things about RD – among them - his unmatchable work ethic, the depth of his heart that many never realized, his quiet confidence and the way he inspired others. He taught me how to embrace life and lessons that no one else could that stick with me today; like how to treat people and how to see the value in every relationship.

Sadly, I never really expressed my true gratitude but I'm hoping and praying he knew what he meant to me.

May you be resting in the peace you deserve, RD. Until I see that sweet smile again,

Julie (Ionni) Galich

To RDM's friends and family,

One of the comments left by a friend in Atlanta speaks volumes: "Fun loving, demanding, thoughtful, outrageous, smart, organized, and a loyal friend." Every bit of that is true.

Robert Dale was my boss in Ponte Vedra as I navigated one of my first jobs in the sports industry. When I picked him up at Jacksonville's airport the first time, he spent the entire drive asking me about my background, comparing notes about growing up in Pennsylvania and Ohio, our shared appreciation for journalism, etc. I was 22 years old, and he treated me like an equal right from the start.

As we worked together over the next year, he stood up for me, helped me make life-changing decisions, and asked simple questions which meant everything: "How are your parents? When will you see them next?"

I remember larger than life smiles at Hualalai, Fourth of July in Jacksonville, and a Super Bowl event we both attended in San Diego.

I'm grateful for those moments, and it's so nice to read through the other generous statements here. What a positive legacy he's left in Houston, Atlanta, and most of all, at home in Pennsylvania!

To the Family of Robert Dale Morgan.
I cannot adequately express how saddened I was to read the news. Robert Dale was such a wonderful student and literally lit up the classroom and our school. He left Canton High School and took that light to shine in so many places. What a wonderful example he projected to the world --- he will be so greatly missed. Our condolences to Claude and Carol, as well as, the entire Morgan family.

I always valued your opinion and I will miss it and your friendship in the future.

Do me a favor and have a gust of wind blow my hat off, whenever you think I need to be brought back to reality.

My prayers are with the extended Morgan family and all your friends. Rest in peace, my friend. Cheers!

We were privileged to know Robert Dale during his tenure with the PGA TOUR. We welcomed him to our home many times - we felt like we had known him for many more years than we actually did. He was a very likeable individual and always had a great smile no matter what. His contributions to the sporting world were truly meaningful. We send our deepest sympathies to his family - he will be truly missed.
