Jim and I enjoyed going through the yearbook of the years we were at Leon High together and sharing memories. His Caregivers from Home Instead Senior Care came to love and enjoy his humor, too.
All of the caregivers and staff will keep Jenny and his family in our thoughts and prayers.

Many of my favorite memories from childhood include Uncle Jim. I remember goofy songs, bird whistles, and being outside with him teaching us about the stars. He always made his nieces feel special...but he was the special one and we were lucky to have been even a small part of his life.

I was privileged to spend time with Jim over the last several months as a Hospice volunteer. He talked about his family, his friends, God, his younger years playing music, sports cars he’d like to rebuild if he went into remission, and the memories of when food tasted good before chemo. I met several of his friends, but a visit didn’t go by without a phone call between Jim and his son David to discuss what he could do for his dad that day. With heartfelt condolences.

Though many years have passed since we were neighbors, I was saddened to read of Jim's death today. My prayers go out to the entire family in hopes that you find comfort in your memories, and in the beautiful music that Jim brought to the world, and into your lives.
