Stephen C. Waller, 79, formerly of Evansville passed away on Tuesday, November 1, 2022 at Glen Oaks Health Campus in New Castle, Indiana.
Steve was born to Marshall and Adelaide Welge Waller on July 15, 1943 in Evansville. He attended Mater Dei High School graduating with the class of 1962. Steve furthered his education receiving his Bachelors in Pharmaceutical Sciences from Purdue University in 1967. He was very dedicated to his career and owned and operated his own pharmacy, Francis Pharmacy, in Evansville for many years. He was a member of the Catholic Church and a former member of the Evansville Sons of the VFW and the Connersville Eagles.
Steve valued hard work, honesty and being a good listener. He loved his children and grandchildren and made sure to instill his values in them as well as the importance of their education. Steve looked forward to taking vacations in warm climates and being near the water. He enjoyed water sports, playing tennis and raquetball and "tinkering with" and restoring old objects. Above all, Steve loved spending time with his family. He will be deeply missed. The family would like to extend thanks to the Glen Oaks staff for the care and companionship they offered Steve throughout his stay.
Steve is survived by his children and their spouses: Kathy Ammerman and Bill Jr., Robert Waller and Wendy; siblings: Marshall Waller and Carolyn, Pat Ellison; Mary Janke and Tom; grandchildren: Bill Ammerman III and Cierra, Alexander Ammerman and Olivia, Lindsey "Addy" Waller, Aiden Clarke Waller; great-grandchildren: Braxton, Kinley, Reece; several nieces, nephews and friends.
In addition to his parents, Steve is preceded in death by the mother of his children: Sue Waller.
A celebration of life will be conducted on Saturday, November 12, at Showalter Blackwell Long, Myers Chapel, 920 Central Avenue, Connersville, IN. Friends may visit the funeral home from 1-3 p.m. until the time of service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Connersville Police Department K-9 Fund in Steve's honor.
