His grandfather Angelo Rubatino started the family legacy in 1907. His father Fred joined the company around 1940. Tom started working part time for the company in 1944 and went to full time in 1951 when his father passed away. As a young man Tom was very athletic. Boating trips were enjoyed every summer with the family and friends. Tom and Joyce loved to go dancing as a fun social activity. They had many friends who have a lot of memories in the clubs. Carousal Dance Club being the first. Our family had many memorable times at the Everett Golf & Country Club. Dad golfed until shoulder surgery slowed him down. Tom enjoyed his beach house, entertaining, barbeques, and Deep Fried Garlic Parties. Dad just enjoyed life. His nickname was the Gadget Man. Tom belonged to the Sertoma Club, an organization which helped many people. He volunteered many hours helping others. Tom was preceded in death by his wife Joyce Rubatino, parents Fred and Mary Rubatino, brother Fred Rubatino, his granddaughter Amy Rubatino and his cherished dogs Bambee and Bambam. Oh Tom,

I'm saddened to hear of your passing, yet relieved for you that you have now joined your wife and the other relatives and friends that left before you. Thank you for the many jokes and stories you shared over the years.

I would now enjoy the opportunity to share a short fun story with all the family and friends whom will surely be visiting your guest book. It's about the time you lent me one of your "Gadgets", (a remote controlled farting machine) which one evening I covertly placed under the Everett Elks Altar during a Lodge meeting in which we were visited by the District Deputy to the Grand Exalted Ruler. As the meeting carried out, I intermittently pushed the remote button which everyone could hear but no one knew where it was coming from. Needless to say, there were moments that evening where the meeting went clearly out of control with laughter.

Tom, your sense of humor was priceless and will be missed. Thanks for the memories!

Your friend,

Greg Browne

Oh, all the memories. His jokes (even if he told the same one more than once or twice), the birthday parties, Christmas, family reunions, the beach, crab, clams, the Caddy, and his love for his wife and family. We will miss you and Joyce, but we'll see you again. Our love to the family.

I remember being at your house, as a neighbor kid, and seeing your dad (Tom) playing the accordion and singing in the dark. The room was lighted only from the keyboard of the accordion and it was so magical. He was a good singer, too..."Come back to Sorrento" and "That's Amore"...Your family and your childhood home was very important to me growing up. My thoughts and condolences are with you all.
