Warren Andrew Obituary

Warren Andrew

Concord, NH - Warren Dustin Andrew, 67, passed away on November 7th, 2024.

He suffered an accident on a job site on November 5th but endured until his entire family arrived to say goodbye. He passed peacefully surrounded by all his children, siblings, and beloved wife of 41 years.

Warren was born on May 12th, 1957 in Concord, NH to Neal and Betty Andrew. He grew up riding his dirt bike across New Hampshire's trails and represented the Granite State proudly as an 8th generation resident. He served in the Air Force before returning to NH to build a family and a life that overflowed his 67 years.

Warren is survived by his wife, Jane Andrew, his children, Chris, Jess, Nate, Josh, Jeff, and Kailey, their spouses and eight grandkids, and his siblings, Wally, Serena, and Abbie.

If you visited the Andrew household in the predawn hours, you would find Warren reading a Bible bound with duct tape with a pair of bent reading glasses perched on his face and an ever-growing pile of books towering beside him. He approached his faith with deep humility and curiosity. He wanted to be and do good.

Warren took incredible pride in his wife and six children. Jane homeschooled all the Andrew kids and Warren marveled at her prowess. He led classes in late night storytelling, trips to the dump, jobsite cleaning etiquette, and how to visit Montana during the school week without your teacher noticing.

Every Andrew child would anticipate the yearly occasion of dad surprising mom with a cross-country trip without notice. The thrill of the airport, a rented car, the expansive western sky, and a hotel room packed with eight people overwhelmed whatever restraint he worked so hard to develop. He loved more than he planned. Sanibel Island, Stanley, Idaho, the Grand Canyon, Mount Kearsarge, and all his children's adopted home-states are more vibrant for his visits.

Warren's children's homes are evidence of his love of construction. He expressed his affection by building your porch, finishing your kitchen, and demolishing your walls. He built beautiful homes across New Hampshire and his early forays into retirement involved visiting each child's local Home Depot. His clients became friends and his co-workers became family.

Warren's community will remember his poetry, his strong hands, his unmatched endurance, and his childlike wonder at how beautiful a human life can be.

Services will be held on November 17th at 2pm at Epsom Bible Church. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to support Folds of Honor.

My deepest sympathy goes out to Jane and the entire family. Warren built my dream house and added a Second floor to another home. He was such a talented person and was so easy to work with. He was not just a contractor but became a good friend in the process. I was so very sad to hear of his passing. Sending prayers to the family for strength in dealing with this loss.

I just heard this news. I am so sorry. I worked on many jobs with Warren. There is nothing I can say that this memory wont express better. "Dan, you really need to go upstairs and share the Lord with the painter. I've already spoken with him once but he really needs the Lord."

I sat next to Warren at Wednesday night church just a few weeks ago. I remember looking over at his Bible and seeing countless hand written notes in the margins. We were studying Psalm 119:57 and discussing how the Lord is our "portion". How God is our inheritance, our source of security, and our hope. Warren always exemplified this in the way he lived. I am so thankful to have known him and learned from his example. He will be very missed. I am thinking of you all during this time and praying that God will continue to be your "portion".

I´m so sorry to hear about Warren. I bought a house that he updated/flipped and he was wonderful to work with.
I always enjoyed bumping into him around town while on a walk or in Market Basket, he was always smiling and on the move! Thinking of his family at this sad time.

Jane and family, I was so shocked and saddened to hear of Warren´s sudden passing. We haven´t seen him in years, but so enjoyed our interactions with you and him when we were living in Bow. I remember fondly visiting while Hannah took flute lessons from Jess.

He is now seeing his Lord face to face and I pray that you be filled with the peace and love that only Jesus can give!

You have built wonderful memories and he has left a beautiful legacy with his family and his community! You will all be in my prayers.

I considered Warren a great friend an even better builder . He built our dream home ,then later adding an addition to another. We spoke or texted often as he considered me an expert on automobiles and always looking for direction for deals or market information. My family was stunned as we discovered the obituary in the Concord Moniter . He will be by our family as we spoke of him often.

Dear Jane and family

Our deepest condolences. We were shocked when we heard about Warren´s accident. It doesn´t seem possible. We will miss him.
I worked with him quit a bit over the last 10 years. I was always impressed by his work ethic, energy and his ability to work with his many diverse customers.

His involvement in his children´s lives´s was amazing. No matter how busy he was always took the time to be involved in their lives even though they were scattered about the country. If more people were like him it would indeed be a better world.

I grew up around the corner from the Andrew home where there was always something fun happening.

Warren will certainly be remembered as a hardworking, soft spoken, humble, and happy person. I can recall countless car rides to soccer games and practices. When Warren was driving, we were rarely on time, but seldom THAT late.

It was Warren that gave me my first job, moving materials around a jobsite, and helping me appreciate the value of working hard.

The last couple of conversations that I had with Warren usually revolved around running and flying. He would always ask, "Have you run the Grand Canyon yet?" and he would respond with "You should!" I haven´t yet, but I will.

Jane & The Andrew family, Serena and Abbie - so sad and sorry to hear about Warren. He was always fun to see and had had interesting things to talk about when we ran into each other. And always proud to talk about family. Such great memories going back to when we were kids growing up together in the southend, and seeing him on his bike when Serena and Abbie took piano lessons from my mom. Playing youth hockey together as well as CHS hockey. Also in the latter years in Bow, when our kids were growing, on the sidelines and at music recitals watching our kids, and talking about the old days. It was always a pleasure to see him. So sorry for your loss, while at the same time, so glad that you and your family created great memories together that will live on.

Oh Jane and family so sorry to get this news. I can´t believe it. Paula and I so enjoyed working with Warren on our home projects. His insights, expertise, and ideas always helped us figure out the best ways to approach our remodeling efforts. And I so enjoyed our conversations about New Mexico. Our mutual love of the southwest always led to fun discussions and new places to go hiking or skiing. I will always smile when I think of Warren ! Hugs to all. Tom

When I heard of Warren´s passing I was at a loss for words. His humor, his love for his family and the Lord will always be the way I remember him. He has seen his savior´s face... I'm envious of the peace and tranquility he is experiencing. I know these are days difficult and there is much to do. I pray that the love, support and caring you are experiencing will help you during this time. You all have MANY wonderful memories and I pray as you grieve that the wonderful memories will return soon. I´ll be in NH over Thanksgiving and I hope I´ll be able to give you a loving hug.

I´m deeply shocked and saddened to learn of Warren's passing. He was a neighbor who helped us with a small addition a couple of years ago, and from there, we got to know him better through many interesting conversations. Warren was not only skilled with his hands but also had a sharp and curious mind. We enjoyed thoughtful discussions on a wide range of topics. He spoke of his wife and children with great pride. This is a significant loss for the community. My heartfelt condolences to his family.
