Dear Betty: I have an older brother too, and I have often feared his dying first. I know, with your parents long gone, and now your brother, how bereft you must feel to be the last one. Since I didn't know him, or even know OF him, I can only hope you find solace in knowing he was a good person who contributed much to his world and those around him. And I hope you gain comfort from the love and support of those near and dear to you.
Warm Wishes

Dear Miss Betty,
You will never know what a powerful and inspiring influence Buddy was in my life. Above and over the smoke and din of country music in the bars we frequented we had amazing conversations as to the state of engineering and architecture profession as it exists today. We particularly had pointed conversations about every news making structural failure that occurred in our times. Buddy was ahead of his time and I was an avid student, always learning from his conversations. I shall forever miss an esteemed colleague who was nothing less than the absolute professional when it came to design and execution of projects under his charge. Nor shall I forget his constant encouragement and support of my own endeavors. I take solace in knowing he is now with his father and God in heaven. May God bless you and all who were fortunate enough to have been touched by his life.

Hello Betty,
I was so sorry to hear of the death of your brother. I do not recall having ever met him, but since he was your brother, Betty, he was surely kind and generous. Please accept my hearfelt sympathy and please give Rob my regards.

Betty and family, I am sorry to hear of the death of your brother. I was a softball umpire in Austin for many years and may - unknowingly - have called some of his games! My sincerest condolences.
