William Hanson Obituary
William D. Hanson, 84, of Binghamton New York passed away peacefully Saturday September 15, 2012. He was born May 21, 1928 in Grand Rapids Michigan. He was predeceased by his brother Robert and his brother-in-law Roderick MacLean. He is survived by his wife of 59 years Phyllis and his sisters Althea MacLean and Faith (Robert) Hall. He is survived by his children Thomas (Katherine), Dean (Donna), Judith Hancock, Bruce (Sherry) and grandchildren Adam, Ben, Matt, Amelia, Jesse, Scott, Chris, Dan, Andy, Tommy, Corey and Christy. Bill was a US Marine Corps veteran and graduate of Colorado College. He had a successful career as an engineer and manager and retired from Link Flight Simulation in 1989. He was a member of Our Saviour Lutheran Church in Endwell and a longtime volunteer for Mended Hearts and United Way. He devoted his life to his family and loved the many summers they spent gathered together at the St. Lawrence River. A private burial service will be held at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be sent to Our Saviour Lutheran Church, 731 Hooper Road, Endwell, NY 13760.

Bruce and Family,
I had the pleasure of working with your dad and you for several years at Link. We shared many a laugh and scratched our heads wondering how could we have so much fun and get paid. He will be greatly missed. My life was made richer by knowing him. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
