William Hegler Obituary
William "Bill" Morris Hegler was born May 20, 1938, in Ajo, Arizona. He was called home by the Lord April 16, 2013, in Phoenix, Arizona. Bill was a husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He was a retired teacher who taught at El Mirage Elementary School, as well as a basketball and football coach at Dysart High School. He is survived by his wife Sheila; daughters Toi Hegler and Toni Helm; son Bill Hegler; grandson Matthew Helm; son-in-law Charles Helm; sister Valencia Dodd, and nieces and nephews. A memorial service to celebrate Bill's life will be held Monday, May 20th, at 11:00 a.m. at North Phoenix Baptist Church, 5757 North Central Avenue, Phoenix, Arizona 85012, with a reception to follow. In
lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the North Phoenix Baptist Church Youth Camp Scholarship Fund. Arrangements entrusted to Greenwood Memory Lawn Mortuary, www.greenwoodmemorylawn.com.

I was so sad to hear about the loss of Uncle Bill. This must be a difficult time for you and your famlies. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Uncle Bill was a wonderful man and he will be missed. My condolences to all of you.
Bill touched many lives in so many positive ways, and although he would not want anyone to be sad, reality tells us that here, on earth, we won't see this person around anymore and how can that not makes us at least a little disheartened?
The bigger focus comes from the JOY of knowing that we WILL always be blessed with wonderful memories and the certainly that he watches over his loved ones from a much better place.
I am blessed to be "meshed" with this family, and to have known Bill for the time that I have. Albeit infrequent, when I would see him, he never changed. He was always friendly, smiling and kind. Sheila too- ALWAYS just precious to me, with a beautiful heart and soul, and I so appreciate that!
They say that time heals all wounds. I prefer to say that WE EVOLVE with the things we are dealt in life, and as we are made stronger by those things, we learn to go forward in spite of them.

My condolences to all of you.

Bill: We had so many, many vacations to New Port Beach, CA. You always were so welcoming to Todd,myself and our son Christopher. We had many laughs, great fish at Scotty's, great breakfast at Charlie's and don't forget the boundless "doughnut" boxes we ate!! You will be terribly missed but I have know doubt you will find a new beach to takeover!! Love you always, Tricia, Todd, Chris and Dawson
