I remember Bill from grade school at Ascension. Long long time ago! Of course we sat close to each other with our names being close in the alphabet. Good guy, he was. Take care, all.

I am just a Beavercreek neighbor who met Bill back in '93 when he did some landscape work around my pool, and again when I bought some giant rocks for my garden from him. Ironically, we had a long conversation about death and dying (I'm a nurse). I had just lost my Mom and he, his Dad. I have no idea what happened to Bill, but this community lost a really great and friendly man.

I just wanted to let you know that hearing about your loss was truly a shock. As many others have stated, Bill was always a joy to be around and one was always guaranteed to leave him with a smile on their face. I still share stories with others who never knew Bill, about the crazy and spontaneous things that he would think to do. HE was a true gem of a person. God Bless all of you and I pray that God gives you the courage to face the difficult days ahead.

The Riggs family,
We were initially introduced to the Rigg's family thru their oldest son, Joe, quite a few years ago while he was at Carroll. Thru the years we came to know each of their family, including Bill's mother, Rheta. We enjoyed getting to know each family member and it goes without saying that we are all deeply saddened by Bill's sudden death. Our prayers are with each of their family and we know that while he will be missed terribly, we are hopeful that they will find comfort in their cherished memories for years to come.

Riggs Family,
I am saddened and my heart is broken to find out Bill is gone. We lived beside each other in Kettering until I was 7. We were inseparable, when you saw one of us - the other one was close by. We moved to Beavercreek in the 60's and both of our hearts was broken. It was years later that our paths crossed. I was in Ohio visiting my parents and he was working on Hanes Road. We got to talk to each other for a while. We both remembered a lot of things we did at such a young age. I remembered when I fell down the basement steps and cracked my collarbone that he would cry when I cried. He remembered about when we were around 5 or 6 years old, they had a boat in their back yard that had filled up with rain water and we were playing in it until his grandfather made us get out - that was the day we prentended we got married. I have a life time of memories of those days. I told him that I thought of him every Oct 12 and wondered how his day was going and he got that big grin on his face I remember so well and said he thought of me, Oct 13. He invited my husband and I to meet Diane and his children that night but we were going home. I'm sorry that we didn't. Although we never met, you are in our prayers and our heart goes out to you, your children, Rhetta and Barbara. I know Bill was the best husband and father that has ever lived, because he was the best friend I had so many years ago. Spread your wings and fly Bill.
