I knew Yance since 1980. He was a true gentleman whose smile and laughter would light up a room like a Christmas tree. He will be sorely missed by all who were lucky enough to have let him into their lives.

I didn't know of his passing until today. He normally stops by the office and everyone was wondering why he hadn't shown up. Now we know.

My heartfelt sympathy goes out to the entire Torrez family on the loss of a very special man.

Yancey - There are few words to express how I, as your brother Marine, feel about what you did as a WW II Warrior for this country. You set the "Standards Bar" for all future generations of Marines to follow and you set that bar very high my friend. I am honored to have known you and call you my Brother Marine. Rest in Peace Marine, A Job Well Done. Semper Fi
