Matthew Anderson Obituary
Matthew J. Anderson 58, died May 14, 2019. Born August 3, 1960 to Richard and Beverly Anderson. Lived his entire life in Rockford, graduating in 1978 from Rockford east high school. He was predeceased by his parents, and brother Mitch Anderson. He is survived by his brother; Marco (Marla) Anderson of Ft. Meyers FL, his sister in law; Cathy (Dave) Foster of WI, his nephew; Jason (Shannon) Anderson, of FL , nieces; Becki(Daniel) Argyres, of WI, and Mindy (Bao) Lam of Winfield, IL. A memorial fellowship gathering will be held July 5, from 5-7pm at LLL Society 1515 9th st, Rockford IL. Friends and family are invited to come and share their memories of Matt.

I met Matt in Little League baseball nearly 50 yrs ago. Our American Legion team won the league thanks to Matt's great pitching. Despite going to different high schools Matt always recognized me when we were out during the 80's & 90's. He always called me Rob-my short-term grade school nickname and always genuinely asked how I was doing. What a great guy. RIP Matty. You will be missed.

Matty, what am I going to do without my big brother now? I can't count all the memories I have with you and our friends. You were many things, but warm-hearted and loyal comes to mind first. I'll think of you every time I hear the band Chicago or any 70's band with a horn section. Tell Spud, Moo and Mitch hello for me. You'll never be forgotten and always loved. Matt, it seems like yesterday we were listening to Van Morrison. You were a very loyal friend and had a Big Heart. I will miss the times of happiness and lots of laughter! You always asked about my Family, and we're genuine with your thoughts. We had many great outings from Florida trips to Cubs games. I know you are at peace now, although you are not with us I want you to know how much you were Loved by many. Until we meet again my friend, we love and miss you.

RIP Matty. You are most likely laughing and telling bad jokes with Cliff. Many many happy memories from the past 49 years- from the token little sister teammate in those backyard football games on 18th Ave to you watching out for me in my 20s.
