I was so sorry to hear of Cliff's passing. He and I were in the navy together. We were stationed aboard the USS George E davis DE 357 -(1953-1954).
When I was going to school in Los angeles, I would drive up to SLO to visit Cliff. When I got married he sent us a nice wedding gitft (47 yrs ago). We are now liiving Moraga CA. Cliff was a true friend. Lots of fun and full of life. Many fond memories.

We were so sorry to learn about Clifford's passing. We first met him more than 50 years ago when we went into Marshall's to look for an engagement ring. He made us feel that he was our friend from the very beginning. We will miss him and all that he has done for our community.

So worry to hear of Clifford's passing but I will always remember his smiling in recognition that we shared the knowledge that whatever was on the program for the SLO Symphony's evening of music would be just as lovely as his smile. I took that memory with me when I moved to the desert.

I looked forward to seeing Clifford many early mornings as I walk my little dogs down Esparto Ave. Just a few days before he died, he stopped his truck and said "I was hoping I would see you today". He wanted to share a head of romaine lettuce with me. As a neighbor for over 15 years, I have felt the presence of Clifford and Don in my life. I so appreciate it.
To Don - I am so very sorry for your loss.
