My daughters and I have known Dr. Groth since the summer of 1965. We will miss his wonderful eye care as well as his humor and sage advice.

My thoughts and prayers go out to Dr. Groth's family and staff for their considerable loss. During my years of treatment by Dr. Groth, from about 1969 to 2004, I aways found him to be a fine doctor and a fine gentleman as well. You could always count on his sense of humor and sage advice. I recall his love of boating and other outdoor activities. We can be thankful that he was among us and we will miss him a lot!

My thoughts and prayers are with the family and the staff of Dr's. office, all of whom will miss Dr. Groth very much.

I am also sure that there are patients, such as our family, (nearly 40 years) will miss the great care we received.

And---------- a fond memory for John: My husband, Bill, was your little league coach in the 70's. Do you remember the great fun of the Father/son game we had? I have pictures of the boys in uniform and the dads in suits -- all with big smiles! Is my memory correct? I think the sons won that game.

My husband Ted and I have both known Dr. Groth for 40+ years, as young children brought in by our parents, and we continued to see him for all our eye needs up until last fall, when he decided to sell his practice (this last time). It was bad enough knowing we would have to share the care of our eyes with others, let alone, to loose a fine man too soon into God's hands. What a great man he was. He always had time to talk as well as treat. We will fondly remember our talks with him about boating as we are fellow boaters and about skiing (I remember his broken leg). Our deepest sympathy to you his family. Ted and Barb (Flanders) Ridge
