Dear Edie: Although I had not seen David for years, I counted him as one of my oldest and dearest friends. I remember when he came to Lake City as a child. Ann invited his classmates over for a little party and he was "in" forever. I can see him right now, dark and handsome...with lovely eyes and a ready smile. We shared a lot of growing up at ole CHS. He will be missed, but the Class of '54 will all meet again at that big "reunion" promised by our Lord. My thoughts and prayers are with you and the boys.

Edie,
I was so sad to hear of Dave's passing. I have fond memories of him as I first started working at the Department of Insurance. He was of great help to me and was a great professional and always willing to help. I am sorry I was not able to attend the memorial service as I was out of town. Dave will be remembered as a kind and caring man. My prayers are with you and your family.

Edie, I have nothing but fond memories of the many years I worked with Dave at the Department of Insurance. He was a great boss, as well as a good friend. He taught me a lot about insurance and more importantly, about people. He will always be remembered as a good man. I hope the many kind words of friends, as well as the prayers of my family and so many others will comfort you now and in the days ahead.

I was so sorry to hear of the passing of Dave. I've known him for so many years. When the Lord calls our loved ones home, He leaves a gift of memories in exchange. Hold on to your memories and let them guide you during this time of sadness. May God comfort you and the family during this difficult time. My prayers will always be with you Edie.

Many of us will remember David as the bugler at Dr. Mont's Camp Osceola at O'leano in the 50's. He sent us to bed and woke us up for years at camp and was wonderful and talented person. My condolence to his family. Frank Casey

Dave and I worked together in the 1970s. He always had time to help, to instruct and to find a better way. I hope he continued to enjoy life and share the zest he displayed back then. He was a very good man.
