Patrick H. Driscoll

Driscoll, Patrick Henry. Beloved husband of Betty Driscoll (nee Fessenden). Loving father of Leanne E. Driscoll (Kevin Rogus), Diane Driscoll, Marianne (Doug) King, Julianne (Patrick) Graf. Devoted grandfather of Kieran and Kendall King and Paige Graf. Dear brother of Lawrence (Marilyn) Driscoll and Dr. Margaret Driscoll. Passed away Jan 1st at the age of 83. He attended Xavier University, where he earned a bachelor's degree in business administration. There he made many lifelong, treasured friends, he was forever a Musketeer. He went on to earn his CPA and spent his life in corporate tax accounting, working most of that time for The Taft Broadcasting Company. When not working, he could often be found on the tennis court. He loved tennis, playing most of his adult life. Through his love of tennis and numbers, he volunteered at what is today the Great American Tennis Tournament "counting the beans" and paying the players. What a way to meet your favorite top players! His work led him to cross paths with many people big and small. He took pride in getting to know the people and learning their businesses which enabled him to earnestly save them money. Through his work he became friends with the creators of many famous cartoons - Bill Hanna and Joe Barbera. He became a lifelong Scooby Doo fan and instilled that same fondness in his children and grandchildren. He also served as the St. Catherine Parish Council President. After retiring, he and his wife Betty began wintering in Florida where they made many new friends and had many new adventures. He always loved the beach and generously shared this life with his family and friends. There he also served as their Condominium Board President and continued to help with the accounting from that point forward. Above all else he loved his family. His love was not seen though extravagance but felt deeply through the love, support and kindness that only a loving father and husband can show. Visitation Tuesday from 5pm-7pm at Neidhard-Minges Funeral Home, 3155 Harrison Ave, Westwood. Funeral Mass Wednesday at 10:30am at St. James Church, White Oak. Burial to follow at the church cemetery. Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society or Xavier University.
