Zack Smith Pace, Jr., 77, of Rutledge, Georgia, formerly of Charleston, SC, husband of Brenda Wilbanks Pace entered into eternal rest Tuesday, September 14, 2021. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 22, 2021 in the J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Northwoods Chapel, 2180 Greenridge Road, from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Zack was born April 29, 1944 in Mullins, South Carolina, son of the late Zack Smith Pace and Helen Grace Gordan Pace. He was a graduate of North Charleston High in 1962. He retired after 31 years with the United States Postal Service. While employed, he developed the Letter Carrier Academy. In his downtime, he was a volunteer coach at Tom Conley field and the YMCA. Smitty is survived by his wife, Brenda of Rutledge, GA; daughter, Stacey P. Guest (Edward) of Ladson; daughter-in-law, Jade F. Pace (Raul) of San Angelo, TX; sister, Ellen Stephens (Jennifer Legette) of Ladson, SC; brother, Gordan Pace (Karen) of Summerville, SC; five grandchildren: Catherine Guest, Kristina Guest (Robert Lewis), Wade Guest, Angelina and Nicholas I. Pace; and four great-grandchildren: Samuel Kelly, Aliyah St.Clair and Kaylum and Sarah Lewis. He was predeceased by his son, Nicholas Adam Pace; his sister, Claire Pace; and brother, William Pace.
