Patricia Spear Obituary

Patricia Kay Spear, aged 70, passed away on December 10, 2024, in Melbourne, Florida. Born on December 24, 1953, Patricia was a cherished member of the family and a beacon of kindness and intelligence. Patricia graduated from Cocoa Beach High School and continued her education at Brevard Community College, now known as Eastern Florida State College, where she earned a General A.A. as a proud member of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. Her academic achievements were a testament to her dedication and passion for learning, Professionally, Patricia dedicated many years to the U.S. Postal Service as a Letter Carrier. She was not only a diligent worker but also an active union member of the NALC and served as a Shop Steward, advocating for her fellow employees' rights and well-being. Patricia's life was marked by her love for her family, friends and animals. She was an incredible mother and grandmother. Her kindness and caring nature were evident in every interaction. She is survived by her loving husband, Carl W. Spear; her daughter and best friend, Jennie Braun; her son, Bryan Spear; grandsons, Bradley Christian and Jacob Spear; and granddaughter, Ari Christian. Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, Robert C. Johnson and Kathleen Johnson; brothers, Eddie and Robert Johnson; and stepdaughter, Kimberly Spear. A private family memorial service and tree planting will be held in her honor on December 24, 2024, commemorating what would have been her 71st birthday. This intimate gathering is a celebration of her life and the indelible mark that she left on the hearts of those she loved. Patricia's legacy will continue to flourish, just like the tree planted in her memory, symbolizing her everlasting impact.
