John Arthur "Jay" Thompson Jr.

Share your Memorial with Family & Friends John Arthur Thompson, Jr., (Jay) was born January 3, 1969, and passed into eternal rest April 4, 2025. Born in Brevard County, he was a life-time resident of Cocoa Beach, FL. He was a graduate of the Cocoa Beach High School class of 1988. He was a quiet, gentle soul who brought light wherever he went. A lover of all things cars and motorsports, he frequently attended races at New Smyrna Speedway and enjoyed watching NASCAR races on Sundays. He was a mechanic and enjoyed detailing boats and cars. Jay was a hard worker and was employed at Banana River Auto and Marine in Merritt Island, FL. He is preceded in death by his father, John Arthur Thompson, his mother, Elsa Caroline Camilla Erb (Thompson), as well as his brother, Gene Thompson. He is survived by his daughter Rosalyn Kriner (Dustin) of Cassatt, SC, and his grandchildren who he loved dearly (Dylan, Anna, Will, Kevin). He was always on the lookout for bicycles that he could fix up (his hobby) so they could ride. He is also survived by family members in New Jersey (Jo-Ann Chamberlain Busse).
