Mr. Biello was a wonderful person whom i had to pleasure of getting to know over this past year. I am so sorry to hear of his passing and will always keep his wife and sons, in my prayers. His Regions family, at Trickum Rd, will always remember him, especially Mrs. Charolette Forsh.

Many years ago JJ and I went through Shepherd's Spinal Center Rehab together. I was in awe over his fight to overcome adversity, and equally in awe over his immense family and law enforcement support. I always got such a joy at seeing his two young sons interacting not only with their Dad but other patients. Your long battle is over JJ and I'm sure we will meet again, minus the wheels!

Glad you are free from the chains of this earth, friend. You lived a great life, despite it all. You were great copy for many a reporter, including me. Mostly, you were an honorable man, a rarity these days. I'm happy your spirit is now free, but you will be missed by many. You left quite a legacy, J.J.

I was working the day JJ got shot. I was still a rookie, and somehow that day reality hit me, the job we were doing was important but at the same time there are a lot of people out there that just doesn't care. He will always be in my heart and prayers for believing in "Doing what is right".

What a great guy! I worked with JJ at Houston's West Paces in the eighties. I always looked for JJ after a long shift. He always had a positive attitude and great personality! He was a professional , but always was very approachable. Although I have not spoken with him in over thirty years, I consider him a good friend. I miss him already.

We've loved and appreciated JJ and Barbara since the earliest days of our meeting--His son, Ross, wanted to marry our daughter, Katie! So, it was a little uncertain at first. But that quickly dissolved into respect and appreciation. When our twin granddaughters were born we were together quite often--especially for soccer, birthday parties and various holiday events. I marveled at his wrork ethic, his drive and persistence and his unfailing sense of pride in his family and his community! We were on a particularly bad Robbery scene, I don't remember details but what I will never forget is everyone connected with JJ's confidence and ability to impress good energy into us all. My deepest sympathy to the Biello family. I had the pleasure of getting to know J,J, when he worked as APD security officer for Houston's restaurant in the 1980's. I was a waitress at the time working nights which is when J.J. worked. He was always so much fun to me around always having something to say that would make me laugh. Even though I haven't seen him in over 30 years he is just one of those special people that is hard to forget. Thinking of J.J. just brings a smile to my face and I'm so glad to have gotten to know him.

I worked with him indirectly and had two inservice training classes with JJ. I knew and worked under AJ Biello for several years. JJ was a dedicated officer and good public servant in Cherokee Co.

My condolences to the family. May God's armor continue to surround everyone at this difficult time. I presently live in Atlanta, but I have followed this story for years. I used to live in The Bronx and over the years I have heard about Mr. Biello while reading The New York Daily News from my home and work here in Atlanta, Georgia. I remember JJ teaching me to count to three;
I remember recently seeing a man in a wheelchair driving down the middle of Main Street in Woodstock with absolutely no fear, seeing it was my friend, I left my office and spoke to him;
I remember his quiet and concerned advice before Cherokee County Commission meetings;
I remember him asking if I wanted my name on some government building for supporting his recreation agenda, and when I said not, he said, now you have may respect;
I remember closing the door to his Board of Commissioners office and grabbing a bottle he kept hidden in his desk and sharing a shot of a little something to calm the nerves;
My utmost condolences and prays for his family, his close friends on these sad days ... and the remembrances that many of us have of a great man.
